VW T1 race taxi: tuning by Fred Bernhard of bad T1 Bulli with 530 HP

Finest technology from Porsche 993 Twin Turbo and Porsche 996 GT3 brought this VW T1 Bulli 530 HP and a top speed of over 200 km/h. While the Swiss Fred Bernhard has put more than 3,000 hours of work in the evil Bulli.

Who in this VW Bulli which generation T1 provides only a historic transport, should be on an unexpected combined become: the alleged commercial vehicle has so much smoke on the chain, that even the PS-drenched tuning fans appreciatively flicking with your tongue. The VW T1 race taxi was realized by the Swiss Coach Builder Fred Bernhard. It has upgraded a rusty VW bus T1 1962 over a period of six years with Porsche components. While the engine comes from the Porsche 993 Twin Turbo, taken from the manual six-speed gearbox from the Porsche 996 GT3 and contributes its part to transform the VW bus in a real sports car scare. The chassis with integral roll cage is surprisingly from a VW T3, the historic T1 body was transplanted by Bernhard in elaborate work.
