Audi recall (July 2017): V6/V8 TDI (Diesel) 850.000 Diesel Audi called back

Audi wants to improve in a voluntary recall in Europe, a total of 850,000 vehicles with Diesel. The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) ordered previously a mandatory recall at Audi: There is an increased exhaust-gas values at Audi were found to be models with diesel engines!

After the investigation into the Diesel scandal get currently in the ascendant, and Audi came in the last few weeks, massive criticism, the Ingolstadt-based company is now a voluntary recall. After Mercedes and BMW had announced that Diesel vehicles of the Euro 5 and Euro 6 standard, to voluntarily retrofit, quoted now Audi, a total of 850,000 vehicles in the workshops. Of the recall, Diesel, equipped with Six - or eight-cylinder engines (V6/V8), which comply with the exhaust emission standard Euro 5 or Euro 6 are affected. During the repair of the car received a Software Update, the Service is for the customer free of charge. The recall also applies to identical motors of the brands VW and Porsche. The Audi customers will be informed in the coming weeks about the recall.
